Restauratrice accrédité depuis 2021, Veronique Belon Slougui a travaillé pendant 17 ans en France à la Bibliothèque nationale. Elle a obtenu un master en Conservation restauration des biens culturels à l’Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne en 2003. Elle a réalisé des stages en France et à l’étranger (Brooklyn Museum, Rijksmuseum, Stedelisjksmuseum, Centre de conservation du Québec) pour parfaire son domaine d’expérience tout au long de ses études et sa carrière. Installée à Toronto depuis 2020, elle dispense des services en Conservation préventive, restauration et montage de conservation dans les domaines suivants : livres, manuscrits, œuvres imprimées, estampes, manuscrits sur parchemins, dessins ou peintures sur papier et cartons, cartes, miniatures indiennes et persanes pour une clientèle privée et les musées, particulièrement le musée de l’Aga Khan. Elle a donné des formations dans le domaine de l’identification et la conservation des estampes et l’entretien des collections de Bibliothèques patrimoniales, au sein de l’Institut national du patrimoine (INP, France) et de la Bibliothèque nationale de France. Elle peut offrir ses services en anglais et en francais.

Veronique Belon Slougui, accredited conservator since 2021, has been working for 17 years in France at the National Library. She obtained a Master degree in Conservation of Cultural property at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne in 2003. She completed internships in France (private companies), United States (Brooklyn Museum), Netherlands (Rijksmuseum and Stedelijksmuseum) and Canada (CCQ) to complete her fields of experience throughout her studies and her career. She is based in Toronto since 2020, working as an independant contractor. She provides preventive conservation services and conservation treatments in the following materials: books, manuscripts, prints, posters, maps, watercolors, parchments, Indian minatures, Persians and Arabic calligraphies, particularly for the Aga Khan Museum. She has given training in the field of the identification and conservation of prints and drawings, the maintenance of Library storages, within the National Heritage Institute (INP, Frane) and the French National Library. She can offer her services in English and French.
