Melissa Potter
Accredited in 2012, conservator specialization in paper. Practicing in Toronto since then, Melissa has collaborated with clients on a many treatment and preservation projects. She provides conservation services for prints, drawings, watercolors, pastels, contemporary art on paper, paintings on paper, archival, documents, certificates, posters, maps, architectural drawings, ephemera, photographs, parchment and vellum, and 3D paper objects. Condition assessments and collection surveys are among preventative preservation services offered.
Masters of Science and Certificate in Art Conservation, Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation (2003). Positions held at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (2003-2004), the Art Gallery of Ontario (2007-2009), and the Archives of Ontario (2010). Kress Conservation Fellow at the Teylers Museum, Haarlem, the Netherlands. (2004-2005). Worked as a contract conservator at Museum Boijmans van Beuningen (2005-2007), the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam (2005-2007), and the Aga Khan Museum (2014-2020). Professional Associate member of the American Institute for Conservation of Art and Historic Works.
