Gregory Howarth
I work on wall paintings, easel paintings, polychrome sculpture, and architectural decoration; generally, any painted surface. My services include condition assessments, treatments, collection care advice, environmental monitoring and project management. I have a small studio in north London and am happy to work on site worldwide.
My educational qualifications are:
Bachelor of Arts, History of Art, at the University of Victoria, B.C. (1981); Master of Art Conservation, Fine Arts, at Queen’s University, (1984): Certificate in Project Management, University of British Columbia, Continuing Studies and Sauder School of Business Executive Education, (2011).
In 1985 I worked as a paintings conservator at the Montreal Museum of Fine Art. In 1987, I began private practice in London, England. I have worked on sites around the UK and internationally. I was accredited in easel paintings and wall paintings by The United Kingdom Institute for Conservation (ICON) in 2000. Services provided in English. Private and institutional commissions accepted.
