Sonia Kata was accredited in 2022 as a textile conservator. She graduated from the Queen’s University Master of Art Conservation program, Artifacts Specialization, in 2013. Sonia completed internships at the City of Hamilton Civic Museums, the Royal Ontario Museum, and the McCord Museum, and a fellowship at the Canadian Conservation Institute. She now works at the McCord Museum as a conservator of costume, textiles, and objects. Services offered in English. Private commissions not accepted.
